We're taking on installers.
Steady work across the Perth metro, sixty-plus jobs a week going out the door, and we'd rather train someone careful than inherit someone fast and rough.
Applications read every week, and we reply either way.
What we provide
You don't need to arrive fully equipped.
Most installers come with their own ute and tools, and that's the simplest arrangement. If you don't, tell us on the form — we have vans and toolkits, and we'd rather sort that out than lose someone good over it.
A van, if you need one
We run a small fleet. If you have the skills but not the vehicle, we can put you in one rather than turn you away. Terms depend on which arrangement you're on — we'll be clear about that before you start.
Tools, if you need them
A full kit: cordless drill and driver, impact driver, laser level, stud finder, masonry bits, dolly and floor protection. The laser level matters more than people expect — it's the difference between sliding doors that run true and ones that drift.
Training, paid
You learn sliding-door systems, wardrobe interiors, kitchens and wall fixing alongside one of our senior installers, and you're paid for that time. Beginners start paired, not thrown at a wardrobe on day one.
The work
What a day actually looks like.
- Your jobs arrive the night before with the address, the parts list and the time allowed
- Two or three jobs a day across the metro, occasionally one big one
- Bigger jobs run with two or three of you together
- You text the customer when you're on your way, and walk them through it before you leave
- Everything tall gets anchored to the wall — that part isn't negotiable
- Weekend work is there if you want it, and never assumed
Money
How you get paid.
You're paid on the hours allowed for the job rather than the hours you take. Work cleanly and quickly and you're ahead; the number doesn't shrink because you finished early.
Where two or three of you share a job, the hours split equally between you.
Paid every week, into your account. You never chase an invoice and you never wait on a customer.
Private jobs pay a higher rate than our retail partner work. We'll go through the actual numbers with you before you commit to anything.
Tiers
Three levels, and moving up is on you.
Everyone starts where their experience puts them. Nobody stays there because of how long they've been around.

What you need
Before you can start on site.
- The right to work in Australia
- A current driver licence
- A National Police Check, issued in the last twelve months — we'll ask for this once we've spoken, and we can point you at how to get one
- Public liability insurance, if you're working on your own ABN
- Enough English to talk a customer through a finished job and handle it when something's wrong
You don't need a trade qualification. Careful hands and turning up when you said you would matter more.
Hiring
How this goes.
- 1 You apply — the short form below. Five minutes, no documents.
- 2 We call you — usually within a week. A proper conversation about the work and what you've built.
- 3 Paperwork — only if we're both keen. That's when we ask for your licence, police check and work-rights evidence, and we'll send you a secure link for it.
- 4 First jobs — paired with a senior installer until you're comfortable and we're confident.
Why we don't ask for your documents yet
Your passport and police check are exactly the things identity thieves want. There's no good reason for us to hold them before we've even spoken, so we don't collect them here.

Your application goes to joinus@installzone.com.au and is read by Peter or Rebecca. We don't share it with anyone, we don't add you to a mailing list, and if we're not proceeding we delete it. Ask us any time and we'll tell you what we hold.
